Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Sports Marketing Manager, Senior Brand Manager and relevant category managers to deliver on various tasks across SP, Running, Outdoor and Training.

  • Support the Senior Sports Marketing Manager to service athletes, partners and federations.

  • Support the Senior Sports Marketing Manager with the management and communication between partners, players, athletes and adidas internal departments, including brand activation, omni-channel PR/newsroom and sales.

  • Support in the submission of seasonal orders for athletes, ambassadors and partner organizations’ within budget, coordinate product supply process through the season.

  • Assist the Brand Activation managers to leverage athlete and player opportunities across their ‘owned’ social media platforms and key adidas brand channels.

  • Facilitate promotional appearances of adidas contracted players/athletes and meet and brief adidas contracted assets for promotional appearances.

  • Lead the tracking and management of contractual appearances.

  • Work closely to support Senior Sports Marketing manager across Training, Women’s and CUMA (Culture Marketing) partners into key brand moments.

  • Identification of individuals to receive seeded product to drive presence and in locally relevant events across SPSP, Running, Outdoor and Training.

KPI’s:

  • adidas share (FTW) of successful athletes in key sports.

  • partner social media content positively featuring adidas

  • EMS Brand Health KPIS (SoS)

  • Growth of Performance Categories Market Share within the EMS.

  • EMS Net Sales, Category growth, full-price sell through and DTC/E-com traffic.

  • MWB compliance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge and passion for sport- particularly football, running, outdoor, training and specialist sports in Emerging Markets South.

  • Experience of either partner management or brand communication marketing mix (media, events, sponsorship, retail, PR) with a major global brand or retailer (sporting goods/ lifestyle industry preferred)

  • Understanding of local sports landscape, brand landscape and youth culture

  • Experience working external agencies and partners.

  • Marketing budget management

  • Competent user of MS Office suite of products

  • Experience in both market and above market organization preferred

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional marketing experience

  • University Degree in Marketing/Sports Marketing or a related field

  • Thorough understanding of sports marketing industry

  • Proven record of working with brand partners and ambassadors

  • Fluent in English
