As a Payroll Intern, you will assist the payroll team in processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day operations. You will also contribute to initiatives aimed at improving payroll processes through documentation and administrative support. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a foundational understanding of payroll operations in a dynamic work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Support payroll team with day-to-day administrative tasks, such as data entry, document organization, and reporting
Assist in handling payroll-related inquiries via ticket management system.
Assist in payroll processing by collecting, reviewing data (i.e. employee time records), and reconciling variances.
Maintain accurate payroll records and assist in resolving discrepancies.
Support payroll team with audits and data validation activities to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with the payroll team on improvement initiatives by providing suggestions, performing research, and supporting implementation activities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as People Team and Finance, to support and ensure accurate employee data management.
Learn about LATAM payroll laws and regulations to support payroll team with research.
Required Skills:
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Basic understanding of payroll principles and labor laws is a plus.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or other payroll-related software.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
