The EMEA Controller Business Management & Solutions (ECBMS) team is part of JP Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank operating under Finance and Business Management, within EMEA Legal Entity Controllers. The team provides business management, collaboration, digital innovation support and solutions across EMEA Legal Entity Controllers (EMEA LEC). This includes:

  • Digital innovation through the use of tools such as Alteryx & Tableau
  • Process re-design using collaborative tools such as Confluence & Signavio
  • Headcount & expense management
  • MIS provision
  • Project support
  • Strategic planning
  • Control initiatives
  • Business updates and presentations

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with reporting teams to ensure that opportunities for innovation and efficiencies are exploited
  • Deliver automation projects by creating new or enhancing existing intelligent solutions
  • Identify opportunities to scale up EMEA LEC solutions to other Regions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the firm to ensure any technology changes do not have an adverse effect on the EMEA LEC team deliveries
  • Identify and assess new digital tools for use by the EMEA LEC team
  • Coordinate with technology teams to ensure that the innovation architecture is robust and that the EMEA LEC requirements are taken into account
  • Broaden the pool of innovators across the EMEA LEC community and communicate key updates to citizen developers and stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • An innovative and creative mindset with the ability to challenge existing ways of working/thinking
  • Innovation and change management skills are essential. An eye for process improvement, and a mindset to innovate / change
  • Possessing a ‘delivery mindset’ and comfortable taking ownership to ‘get things done’
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience delivering tactical change in a digital environment in Finance organisations
  • Experience working with a range of software platforms, covering data preparation, analysis, and visualisation. Proficient in Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Confluence and Signavio.
  • Conversant with concepts such as Software Development Life Cycle, Data Management, and Process Design

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of applying information management and technology controls frameworks
  • Background in finance and reporting/controls
  • Previous experience in project management/ consulting (internal or external)/ audit and control
