The Balance Sheet Mgmt Sr. Analyst is a professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of key controls within the Management Control Assessment framework and the maintenance of associated process documentation (narratives and flowcharts)
  • Manage specific projects, support business leads and project managers in managing the team’ s portfolio of projects
  • Resolves complex problems where analysis of situations or data Requires an in-depth evaluation of basic operations and business processes, family procedures, and industry standards for business supported
  • Gather project status and issue maintenance for reporting needs. Coordinate project management team efforts to ensure that deliverable targets are met
    In cooperation with key stakeholders, manage specific AFS/HTM CCAR Workstream deliverables to ensure that requirements are met in accordance to agreed upon timelines
  • Drive process improvements opportunities and capabilities to increase consistency, transparency, and reliability of stress testing results

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Demonstrated ability for problem solving, independent work and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be proactive in information gathering and issue resolution
  • Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Time-management skills and the ability to simultaneously work on multiple deliverables
  • Ability to manage risk appropriately
  • Experience managing risk and controls and procedure documentation
  • Experience with reporting and analytics
  • Self-motivated and knowledge of and interests in finance, markets, risk management
  • Demonstrated ability for problem solving and attention to detail
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to work independently
  • Microsoft Excel advanced skills interfacing, creating pivot tables and charting
  • Significant hands-on experience with Power Point
  • Experience with internal audit and process analysis
  • Good team player and excellent work ethics
  • Familiarity with Citi systems preferred

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business, science or engineering with a focus on finance, audit, economics or related analytical fields
  • In lieu of a Masters degree, a Bachelors degree with 3-5 years of Risk/Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience and/or education
