Expectations and Tasks:

• Hyperscaler Engineering Senior DevOps Engineer are tasked with researching tools and solutions to help SAP better manage its growing Hyperscaler footprint.
• You'll work across shared service departments, lines of business and global teams to deliver high quality customer service and ensure operational deliverable goals are met.
• Running proof of concepts for selected tools to verify they satisfy the requirements of the SAP Hyperscaler Engineering team and its customers.
• Upon successful completion of a PoC you will assist with architectural design for production implementation while taking into consideration operational goals as well as compliance to SAP standards.
• Architectural designs should be done with a focus on security with a goal of secure by default design rather than looking at security after the fact.
• You're equally at home explaining recommendations to lines of business as you are discussing the technical approaches with engineers.
• You are highly resourceful, have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation, integrity, and desire for the team and company’s success.

Education and Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science (or related technical field); or equivalent practical experience in technical field
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud delivery (GCP, AWS, Azure preferred)
• Experience related to architectural design and IT security
• Experience collaborating and influence others to improve architectural design, operational processes, and security posture
• Experience of Git, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Packer and Azure DevOps (Or an equivalent modern CI/CD)
• Must be a great human being and possess a mindset of change, while not being afraid to fail
• Familiarity with open source cloud, applications and public clouds (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Cloud Management or Cloud Analytics Experience
