Key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data extraction using PowerCenter.
  • Design and develop data transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using IDMC
  • Is aware of setting up of PowerCenter, PowerCenter navigator.
  • Lead and contribute in design, coding, testing, and deployment of the migration engine.
  • Oversee the development of ETL jobs, workflows, and mappings in IDMC.
  • Lead a team of ETL developers, data engineers, and analysts.
  • Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and database administrators.
  • Provide technical mentorship and enforce best practices in ETL development.
  • Monitor and tune Informatica workflows for high performance.
  • Troubleshoot ETL job failures and data discrepancies.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all migration processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in handling structured and semi-structured data
  • Should have 5-7 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and IDMS (mainframe)
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Expertise with Informatica Cloud (IICS) and cloud data migration.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Gitlab)
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles, frameworks, and best practices
  • Knowledge of database design and data modelling

Nice to Have:

  • Banking domain knowledge (Core Banking).
  • Familiarity with Data migration process in a banking implementation project.
  • Experience with data masking, encryption, and security compliance.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and storage architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
