Your key responsibilities

  • Work with and report to the MS TFO (Tax and Finance Operate) Solution Leader or senior MS TFO Business Architect on the job
  • Use knowledge / experience in any of the below technical competency requirement listed
  • Work on complex pursuits as the junior Business Architect (reporting to the MS TFO Solution Leader or senior MS TFO Business Architect) with the relevant technical fields (finance consulting, finance outsourcing sales, finance transformation, finance operating model development, finance BPO solution architecture), collaborating with peer workstreams leaders, Service Line Subject Matter Resources, as well as other EY team members
  • Drive the solution design workstreams covering key aspects of solution design, including people, process, data and technology for pursuit
  • Design client solutions based on key aspects of solution design, including transition and transformation programs, whilst aligning to global EY methodology and best practice
  • Design and develop data input model to drive client solution design and related pricing and financial models for Tax managed service offerings
  • Provide input towards the design of the TFO managed services offering over the development lifecycle with particular focus on delivery components necessary to deploy a viable solution for our clients
  • Capture knowledge and refine artefacts from pursuits to support future pursuits
  • Support development of standardized assets used across different offerings as well as different stages of the pursuit lifecycle

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • At least 6-8 years’ experience in finance management consulting as a business architect or finance transformation consultant (or similar role) with specialisation in any of technical competency identified below:
    • Finance operating model development (incl. finance shared services)
    • Finance outsourcing / BPO solution architecture
    • Finance outsourcing / BPO sales
    • Transformation and continuous improvement solution design
    • Finance consulting
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to apply a performance improvement lens to our clients’ current processes whilst aligning with global EY technology platforms and other enabling components of EY service
  • Strong skills on MS Suite - Excel (data modelling, arrays, dynamic formulas), PowerPoint (value proposition, story boarding, basic design), and Visio (process mapping), with the ability to distil complex concepts into succinct and clear outputs
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and a basic understanding of pricing, value, and financial modelling
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and teaming skills, and a positive attitude to solve problems across our solutions as we develop them
  • A challenger mindset and questions the status quo by asking if there is a better way to do things
