Towards digitalization of mechanical metering systems, developing digital-twin’s models is the up-coming step, which benefits to deeper understanding in the metering system and metrology, as well as detailed control in the operation condition. These knowledges further lead to the capability of predictive maintenance and rapid trouble shooting for operational anomaly. To develop competent digital models, solid product quality and consistent data generation are the necessary components. These require test devices for specific features, especially to quantify bearing and gear friction effects.
Responsibilities:
In the framework of the working student and thesis activity, a dynamic turbine meter model is targeted as the final goal to describe the different operational scenarios. Cooperated with establishing solid test methods for quality control and production, the relevant works obtains:
Standardize the test procedure for incoming bearings inspection and gear verification.
Calibration of modeling parameters for gear relevant effects in generic conditions.
Validation of turbine meter model in steady state condition and the evaluations in hydrogen related applications
Analysis of system fatigue by simulating specific scenarios
