Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Operations Management : Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processes across multiple countries, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Leadership & Team Management : Provide strong leadership for multiple payroll teams, setting strategic direction, driving engagement, and fostering collaboration across countries. Ensure continuous development of team members through coaching, feedback, and skill-building, while managing the performance of diverse teams to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • Change Management & Strategic Leadership : Take a leadership role in driving organizational change within payroll operations. Assess and analyze the impact of change on payroll processes, lead change communication efforts, and implement risk mitigation strategies. Act as a change agent to ensure successful adoption of new initiatives, policies, and systems.
  • Transitioning Payroll Ownership : Lead the transition of remaining finance-owned payrolls in Europe into HR Operations, establishing clear roles and responsibilities to ensure a smooth handover and long-term operational stability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with HR, Finance, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and support of HR initiatives. Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, offering insights on payroll strategies and their impact on business operations.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization : Lead initiatives to streamline payroll processes across multiple countries, implementing automation where possible, and ensuring best practices are adopted.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management : Oversee relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to contractual SLAs. Manage vendor negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution at a strategic level.
  • Compliance & Auditing : Ensure payroll processes are compliant with local, regional, and international laws. Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in payroll, including leadership of multiple teams in a multinational environment.
  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives and assessing change impacts.
  • Expertise in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and familiarity with global payroll laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
