What to Expect

The Role

As Junior Buyer within Indirect Procurement, you will begin by managing and analyzing rates within our eProcurement systems, focusing on building a strong foundation in procurement processes in general and logistics. Over time, you will develop the skills needed to transition into a Junior Buyer Logistics role, with this transition taking place within 1 to 2 years, depending on individual growth and performance.

This position starts with a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What You’ll Do
  • Upload and manage rates in the eProcurement platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all data.
  • Analyze rate data for discrepancies and ensure that all logistic costs are up to date.
  • Collaborate with buyers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely rate updates and agreements.
  • Assist the invoice review team in identifying and resolving rate discrepancies efficiently.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements, utilizing tools such as Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Develop a solid understanding of sourcing processes, including issuing RFx’s and evaluating supplier quotes.
  • Gain proficiency in procurement tools (e.g., ERP system, CLM) and assist in supporting contracting approvals.
  • Analyze market trends, cost data, and supplier performance to uncover opportunities for cost savings.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field, ideally with exposure to indirect procurement or logistics.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Basic negotiation skills and familiarity with contract management.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Python or similar tools for data analysis and process automation is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and an additional European language is a plus.
  • Eager to learn and develop in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
