As a Security Consultant, you'll be part of the Akamai Professional Services team, working directly with clients. You'll serve as the main point of contact for our customers' security services. As a trusted advisor, you'll deliver service excellence and help customers strengthen their security posture. You'll also solve complex challenges to ensure the successful integration of Akamai's security solutions.

As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:

• Leading implementations of Akamai security solutions based on customer needs and business goals
• Applying technical expertise and project management to ensure successful outcomes
• Collaborating across teams to assess needs, evaluate architecture, and design security solutions
• Maintaining trusted relationships through guidance, communication, and security best practices
• Partnering with security experts to solve advanced technical challenges during implementations
• Identifying risks, building mitigation plans, and escalating issues to ensure resolution

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience in web security or supporting security projects
• Know internet technologies and protocols like HTTP, DNS, IP, TLS and TCP
• Understand modern web attacks and web application security risks
• Be familiar with WAF, bot management tools and OWASP Top 10
• Demonstrate project management skills and deliver complex technical projects
• Have experience working in a customer-facing IT role
• Communicate effectively in Italian and English
• Be a team player who is proactive, curious, and eager to learn
