What You’ll Do

The SE will showcase Cisco products and solutions, lead RFP response(s), set up demonstrations, explain features and benefits to customers and design and configure products to meet specific customer requirements.


You’ll gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in the Service Provider market.


Who You Are

You are an expert pre-sales solutions engineer with a generalist Enterprise/IT, Service Provider Networking and Datacenter focus


Technical Skill Requirements:
  1. Understand Cisco Enterprise and Service Provider portfolio, architectures, solutions, platforms and capabilities. Everything from Core/Edge Networking to WiFi, SDWAN, Datacenter and IoT is covered in this role.
  2. Software knowledge as well as API enablement and Programmability.
  3. In-depth understanding of Layer 1-3 concepts and technologies, TCP/IP Routing and Switching, Industry standards and trends, Design and Architecture.
  4. Validated experience, including the ability to get “your hands dirty” with lab Proof of Concept(s), Trials, and leading others such as CX and BU for such activity.
  5. Have product knowledge in sophisticated technologies either for Cisco Product or Cisco Competitor products.
  6. Capabilities in crafting end to end large sophisticated networks to meet Service Providers requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of related pre-sales experience with Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in the technology area of emphasis


BS/BA or equivalent experience (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science).


Preferred Qualifications:
Pre-Sales experience in Service Provider.is preferred

CCIE certification is preferred but not required.

Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills.

Strong problem-solving skills: ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.


Capabilities to work with various non-technical groups (finance, legal, post-sales).


Can work under minimum supervision and under pressure.


Self-motivated, fast learner and has initiative.


Capability to lead a group of people with various technical backgrounds.
