We provide reporting solutions or requirements through finance, markets and operations reporting along with cyclical and critical controlling processes such as Forecasting, Financial Planning, Revenue Planning, Markets Leadership Planning and Cash Reporting to help you take better business decisions. With projects like Mercury, we also support business transformation, and we are continuing to expand our services to support all Regions with their reporting and analytics needs.

The General Ledger Senior Associate plays a key role in the effective management of the general ledger. The purpose of this job is to prepare financial reports and review financial results, cost analysis and budgets. Analyse transactions to conclude root causes, variances and suggest corrections to management.

Your key responsibilities

• Managing the General Ledger entries and reconciliation of financial statements
• Analysing the financial information and reporting any fluctuations and variances
• Adhering to accounting standards and working in compliance with country regulations
• Collaborate and work with other teams such as Payroll, AP, AR
• Conduct periodic stake holder connects
• Develop new reports as well as redesign the existing reports, identify and initiate automation opportunities
• Mentor, guide, train junior analysts and new recruits

Skills and attributes for success

• Have sound understanding of basic accounting concepts
• Understand financial reporting and analysis
• Good eye for detail
• Be strong in MS Excel skill
• Proficient in SAP
• Possess good communication skill
• Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team or on their own initiative
• Eagerness to learn quickly, be proactive and share knowledge

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 3-6 years’ experience in financial analysis and accounting processes
• B.Com or M.Com / MBA (Finance)
• Strong MS Excel skill and knowledge in SAP
• Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
• Good communication skill

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Exposure to Power Point Presentations
