Engineering Project Manager Advisor
Engineering Project Management professionals within Engineering Service are critical to the smooth running of innovative projects. Their key responsibility is to make sure initiatives are completed on time and within budget. This involves the careful coordination of collaborative, cross-functional teams through a host of meetings and progress measurement activity. Their responsibilities begin at the beginning and they leave no job unfinished until the project is delivered.
What You'll Achieve
Manages NB for assigned projects, or specific activities related to projects within given constraints of scope, schedule, budget, and quality through the duration of the project. Conducts periodic reviews to ensure the project is on track and conducts post-project reviews.
You Will:
- Manage projects involving cross-functional teams focused on delivery of Notebook products, and monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery and interfacing with internal customers or department personnel.
- Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings; ensures communication facilitates completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Conduct in and participate in BOM audits to ensure accuracy and that BOM structure meets the needs of all affected areas and regions.
- Deliver & lead project of medium to large sized project with high complexity, within the product family that are scaled with less degree of leverage.
- Facilitate partner alignment and maintain partner collaboration based on gap & issues identified. Identify Dell's need and enable vendor/suppliers on working model, capabilities enhancement & process enhancement
Essential Requirements
- At least 6+ years small device development project experience. Good technical understanding of the products assigned. Can work with suppliers. Demonstrate attentiveness to quality and productivity
- Strong knowledge of the Engineering Development Process and with solid experience to manage daily workflow as required to meet departmental and customer requirements.
- Proactively identify gaps and engage with management and peer, drive established changes and initiatives for improvements. Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
- Problem solving skills to look at high complexity , present analysis and recommended solutions.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Ability to present clear and concise information to team, internal customers, and external customers.
