We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choice in how they consume their content. Our new tier allows us to attract new members at a lower price point while also creating a compelling path for advertisers to reach deeply immersed audiences.

You will partner with Product, TPM, Engineering, Data Science, and other cross-functional leaders to establish the vision for Data Engineering for Netflix Advertising.

What you'll be doing:

  • that aligns with Netflix’s advertising goals, and drive innovation and best practices in data management and architecture.

  • Engage, coach, and guide a team of high-performing data engineers
    to be a high-performing team with a winning reputation for helping the business succeed.

  • Create strong relationships
    across product, data science, analytics, and engineering leaders and partners that foster collaborative success toward Netflix Advertising’s highest priorities

  • Grow and mentor

Ideally, you are:

  • A leader with strong experience in advertising technology and has helped companies achieve global growth by establishing robust data driven vision

  • A leader with a strong background in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and you have led the teams to build large-scale data architectures with high volume and low latency

  • Passionate about the customer and have worked to provide impactful data that influence product direction or customer experiences

  • Have a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, working on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • An exceptional communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $480,000 - $1,200,000.
