JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Software Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications for our Aerospace Technologies (AERO) business unit. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging software solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. Your expertise and innovative mindset will play a crucial role in driving the success of our software development projects.
You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the performance, reliability, and safety of our software applications, contributing to the overall success of our Aerospace Technologies business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Conduct unit testing and debugging of software applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Python
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
