JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that support our building automation systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement high-quality software. Your expertise in software development and problem-solving will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Richardson, TX, location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our building automation systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers and contribute to energy savings and sustainability efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain web applications using C# and Blazor.
  • Design and implement responsive UI components with attention to performance and user interaction.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our overall product development strategy.
  • Participate in code reviews and share best practices with the team.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Passionate about coding and software development.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong emphasis on C#.
  • Strong understanding of CSS and experience with pre-processing platforms (e.g., SASS, LESS).
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (e.g., Git, DevOps, Agile methodologies).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

WE VALUE

• Experience with building automation systems or related technologies

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

• Proficient in Blazor framework and its core principles.

• Familiarity with Agile development processes and knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
