Senior Laser Manufacturing Engineer
Your role:
- You will lead engineering activities related to the post release of the laser. These will include troubleshooting production issues, update to procedures or specifications by creating change orders to improve the process while maintaining product integrity.
- Work closely with procurement, quality and supplier quality on issues discovered during production to drive down defects.
- Successfully interact with associates in other departments at all levels of the organization to achieve project and product objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Research and Development, Regulatory and engineering staff.
- Update drawings and work instructions when design changes or process improvements are required.
- Continually add new industry knowledge for personal and organizational growth. Proactively share knowledge with others on the engineering team and cross functionally.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 6+ years in medical device or other regulated industry with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or 10+ years of mentioned experience with an associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Your skills should include SolidWorks, ability to utilize both empirical and theoretical methods to solve problems, understanding of Lean and Six Sigma as used in a production environment and the Daily Management process.
- Ability to lead Design Changes and Engineering Change Request, including scoping, planning, and implementation.
- Experienced with complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies is a plus.
