As a Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in assisting our manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement. You will be accountable for analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency and quality. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing operations. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location Mon – Fri. In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by:
- Analyzing production processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Developing and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and quality - Conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to minimize production downtime – Identify and design tooling and fixtures required to produce and/or assemble products
– Be involved in the identifying, justifying, specification, procurement and installation of capital equipment
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and quality
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize production downtime
• Facilitate new product introductions and process validations
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
MUST HAVE: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
WE VALUE:
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing ethics
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies
