As a Manufacturing Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for implementing manufacturing strategies, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Duluth, Georgia location 100% onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets
MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics OR
• 5+ years of experience with flat sheet manufacturing quality control system maintenance OR direct employment with radiation regulatory agency; NRC or state agency.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience in lean manufacturing principles
• Green Belt Certified, experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen etc.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in manufacturing
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
