As a Solutions Engineer, you will be a customer-focused technical sales professional, providing high-level technical support and guidance to customers. You will work closely with the Account Manager to recommend and develop optimal solutions to customer needs.

  • Customer Engagement : Collaborate on creating both account and technical account plans, while proactively identifying new business opportunities through meetings, seminars, and educational sessions.
  • Opportunity Qualification :
  • Understand customer business problems and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Navigate the sales process effectively, engaging the right Cisco and partner resources at the right time (e.g., CSE, SE, PSS, AS Engineers).
  • Define and present solution options, articulating the benefits and return on investment of Cisco’s solutions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept presentations and documentation, coordinating solution development and customisation as needed.
  • Present technical components of Cisco solutions to customers, ensuring clarity and alignment with customer objectives.

  • Gain broad knowledge of industry trends and how Cisco solutions provide strategic and financial value to customers.
  • Build trust and relationships both within Cisco and with customers, demonstrating personal credibility and confidence.
  • Consultative Approach :
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, offering expertise across the Cisco product portfolio and leveraging technical specialisations to meet customer needs.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with a deep understanding of Cisco products and/or competitive offerings.
  • Pre-sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; CCNP or CCDP certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customer business models, problems, and how to map these to solutions.
  • Expertise in Cisco’s vision and technologies, with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to meet customer needs.
Technical Competence
  • Solid understanding of industry trends and competitive solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Routing & Switching, Network Platform Design, and overall network technologies.
  • Ability to consult on complex technical challenges, define trade-offs, and share replicable architectures to suit customer needs.
  • Niche knowledge in your field, along with the ability to integrate Cisco’s products into broader technology ecosystems.
