Advanced Chemical Engineer

Accountabilitiesof this position include:

• Providingfield technical assistance on new and/or revamped refinery unit checkout andstartups.
• Providing field technical assistance and field support for developmentactivities in commercial refinery units.
• Following required safety procedures.
• Providing feedback including suggested improvements on UOP process designs.
• Troubleshooting and recommending solutions while also addressing improvementand innovative problem solving.
• Familiar with controls communications networks
• Coordinating commissioning activities.
• Transferring technology to customers operating and engineering staff.
• Reviewing emergency and normal operating procedures with customer shiftoperating personnel.

Qualifiedcandidates must have:

• Aminimum of 10 years experience in the petrochemical, gas processing or refiningindustry.
• Ten years of directly applicable field experience may be considered in lieuof an engineering degree.
• Experience with at least one of the following UOP technologies (CatalyticReforming, Gas Processing, Hydrocracking.
• Hydrotreating, FCC, Merox Treating,HF Alkylation, Paraffin Isomerization, Adsorptive Separations (Parex andMolex), Xylene Isomerization and other Aromatics processing, (Cumene and EthylBenzene) is preferred.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
