Your Key Responsibilities

You will lead efforts to identify strategies for existing and new clients on how they can optimize their current EHR systems. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of deep healthcare knowledge and strong technical expertise, enabling them to bridge the gap between clinical requirements and technical capabilities, and work closely with the client to provide customized solutions.

Below are the key responsibilities you will undertake in this role:

  • Build and manage client relationships, understand their unique challenges, and develop tailored EHR Solutions. Act as a trusted advisor to senior healthcare executives.
  • Identify and lead business development pursuits to drive growth in the EHR practice, including proposal development and client presentations.
  • Provide strategic expertise in the procurement, implementation, optimization, and integration of EHR Systems
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and technical clients to understand their business needs, translate them into actionable solutions, and deliver services that enhance patient outcomes and optimize care delivery processes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data practices (including governance, sharing, integration, and interoperability). Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as HIPAA, and that systems are equipped to exchange data across platforms seamlessly by providing thought leadership.
  • Lead application and project rationalization initiatives
  • Facilitate the creation of comprehensive total cost of ownership (TCO) estimates for the client, continuously refining them throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Oversee and manage complex digital health and EHR projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and expected benefits.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Own administrative functions of the project, including engagement costing, contract and documentation management, and risk assessments while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Lead multiple client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to configure and optimize their EHR systems, ensuring that each implementation meets the specific operational and regulatory needs of the healthcare organization.
  • Champion teamwork across IT, clinical, and administrative staff to achieve project goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement through coaching and feedback.
  • Implement and maintain robust data security protocols to protect sensitive patient information.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends and regulatory changes that impact the EHR landscape and proactively advise clients on implications.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Proven experience leading and managing high-performing consulting teams, working closely with clients to deliver innovative EHR solutions.
  • Strong healthcare sector functional and technical experience, with a focus on integrated project management for large, clinical and technology transformations, EHR functionality, and data visualization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from clinicians to C-Suite executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an MBA.
  • At least 5+ years in digital health, EHR systems, healthcare IT consulting, or related fields, with a focus on large-scale technology transformations.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in consulting services, with minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role, with a strategic focus on EHR and technology transformation, driving measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Strong expertise in managing EHR projects, with in-depth knowledge of interoperability standards and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a data-driven approach.
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Experience with data migration, conversion, and archival: Expertise in transitioning data from legacy systems to modern EHR platforms.
  • Systems Integration experience: Familiarity with the technical aspects of integrating EHR systems with third-party applications.
  • Project Management Software and Tools: proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project to track project progress, timelines, tasks, and resource management
  • Clinical Workflow Understanding: Deep familiarity with clinical processes and how EHR systems support (or hinder) workflow efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, GxP, and FDA guidelines.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Proven ability to leverage EHR reporting capabilities and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to drive insights.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
