In this external sales role, the Regional Director is responsible for calling on a focused list of firms and retirement-focused financial advisors in the territory. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish, maintain and grow relationships with retirement-focused advisors to drive sales.
- Responsible for marketing products including Mutual Funds, CITs and our bundled recordkeeping solution.
- Role requires the ability to position Goldman Sachs' investment philosophy, process, product differentiation and competitive analyses in group presentations, public seminars and one-on-one presentations.
- Develop a complete understanding of our value proposition which includes market insights, product knowledge, portfolio construction, and retirement related investment solutions.
- Execute consistent follow up with advisors to advance the sales process and deepen advisor relationships.
- Maintain a full calendar of client engagement/activity.
- Ability to work with multiple internal teams and partners to help drive sales effort.
- Develop and maintain territory business plan to meet sales goals.
- Leverage internal sales partner to scale and track business to maximize impact.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 10+ years of financial services sales experience preferred
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Minimum of (5-10) years of financial services sales experience with a proven track record and relationships in the DCIO market or record-keeping market
- Strong knowledge of the advisor-sold (or intermediary-driven) retirement market including trading platforms, bundled providers and regulatory issues
- Ability to manage administrative aspects of job effectively (call reports, CRM, expense reports, etc.)
- (3-4) days of travel per week
- Series 7 and 63 required
- Existing relationships in the territory, with focused client base preferred

- Must live or be willing to relocate to territory
