About the Role
As a Technical Account Specialist (TAS), you will manage the technical relationship between Rapid7 and our small to medium enterprise and commercial customers. In this developmental role, you will be assigned accounts and work directly with customers to drive success with our products. You will identify business and security goals, create and execute account plans, and conduct business reviews. This position is a hybrid role based out of our Tampa office (3 days onsite/2 days remote).
In this role, you will:
Understand client's business objectives/impact and apply your expertise to timely resolve issues and ensure customer success.
Go beyond break-fix support by becoming a true technical partner to the customers and help shape their strategy and security programs.
Meet regularly with strategic clients, both remotely and on-site, to review support interactions, system status, major issues, upcoming releases, best practices, and drive achievement within their security programs.
Be the advocate and voice for customer requirements and challenges within various teams internally at Rapid7.
Direct crisis and incident response, working with the Customer Success team, other support teams and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution, while communicating effectively with customers.
Maintain strong technical knowledge of Rapid7’s product offerings and be able to mentor staff on best practices, preferred configurations, and next steps for customer issues.
This role may require up to 5% travel
The skills you’ll bring include:
2+ years of professional experience in a customer focused role.
Knowledge of various operating systems (Linux, Window, macOS)
Understanding of basic network architecture, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, etc.).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to cultivate relationships with customers and cross functional partners to become a trusted advisor.
Capability to anticipate challenges and respond with innovative solutions.
Adaptability and flexibility to handle rapidly changing environments.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of project management and account management skills.
Relevant cloud or networking certifications (AWS CCP, AZ-900, CCNA, Net+, etc.)
