What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ability to lead and support safety initiatives and assist in compliance reporting.
  • Promote the application of best management practices through operational excellence and ensure compliance within all administrative and operational functions.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of EHS policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures with particular focus on environmental.
  • Ensure employees and operations maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Assist in coordinate safety related incident/accident investigations.
  • Conduct EHS audits and risk assessments.
  • Participate in external compliance audits and loss prevention audits.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS notices and standards.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Associate’s degree+ and / or related Professional Certification (CHST, ASP, CSS, CHMM)
  • 3+ years of experience in a safety & health, with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Possess knowledge of standard industry environmental practices
  • Detailed knowledge/understanding and practical application of health and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, NFPA, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to successfully work independently and in team environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate safety hazards and recommendations effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred experience related to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

. The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $65,400 - $88,300.The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
