Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant to join the Controllers Group as an Accounting Manager with a focus on agile project execution. You will be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. The Controllers Group supports the financial implementation of new products, services, and systems with countless opportunities for knowledge growth.

In this role you will:

• Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects in pipeline from the planning phase through delivery and stabilization

• Lead an accounting team and assist in the development, testing and implementation of project requirements

• Collaborate with several teams across the organization on the Bank Core Modernization Enterprise Wide Initiative

• Facilitate the consistent use of the Agile methodology for delivering projects

• Present results, findings, risks and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders

• Contribute to Process Improvement through project development and knowledge sharing with a well governed mindset

• Participate in key corporate projects such as technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiatives

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay connected on process or product changes

• Demonstrated ability to maintain effectiveness in constantly changing environment

• Ability to apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues and propose solutions

• Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 8 Years of experience in Accounting, Audit or Finance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• At least 10 years of experience in Accounting
  

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Accounting Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, AccountingThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
