Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, quality management or product line management, preferably within the electronics or networking industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies:
    • Create and execute strategic sourcing plans to support business objectives and ensure a reliable supply chain.
    • Analyze market trends, supply chain dynamics, and technology advancements to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality materials and components.
    • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews focused on quality, delivery and cost metrics.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain quality standards for sourced materials and components.
    • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for any quality issues.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management:
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and manage contract renewals and amendments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, product development, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure sourcing strategies align with product requirements and timelines.
    • Collaborate with global procurement teams to leverage best practices and global sourcing opportunities.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including capacity constraints, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
    • Develop contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.
