As an STO Software Engineering Intern, you will receive a summer project that will support cloud-based solutions for our customers. Responsibilities include:
· Work with the team to help solve business problems.
· Take ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practices.
· Participate in software design reviews, you conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team.
· Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
· Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all the team deliverables.
Hourly pay rate:
· $50/hour for Undergraduates
· $52/hour for Masters Students
· $60/hour for PhD Students
· Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field that will be enrolled as an undergraduate/master’s student after summer of 2025
· Must be willing to relocation to Seattle area.
· Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Engineering or Computer Science areas.
· Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams.
· Proven leadership skills and experience.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
U.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications:

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Undergraduate Level Desired Qualifications:
· Passion for a career in healthcare technology.
· Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using AWS, Azure or GCP.
· Familiarity with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies.
· Previous experience working directly with end customers to assess needs, identify solutions, and constructively resolve disagreements.
· Familiarity with big data systems, analytics, containerized microservices, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture.
· Bring fresh ideas from all areas, including testing and validation automation while maintaining the production availability, conversion automation, distributed computing, large-scale system design.
· Familiarity with Agile processes.
· Technical problem-solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Master’s Level Desired Qualifications:
· Passion for a career in healthcare technology.
· Experience with building scalable, distributed systems using AWS, Azure or GCP.
· Familiarity with design/architecting large-scale distributed systems preferably using AWS technologies.
· Experience with supporting production software deployments.
· Technical expertise across all deployment models on public cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.
· Experience creating, documenting, and communicating software architectures for complex products.
· Experience in building, tracking, and communicating plans within Agile processes.
· Excellent technical problem-solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologies.
