The Continuous Improvement Lead (CI lead) is part of the PMO & Engineering department and reports to the Business & Operations Excellence Manager. As a CI lead, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and implementing Lean process improvements within our warehouse logistics operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize our internal logistics processes.
What a typical day looks like:
- Be the first point of contact for continuous improvement related questions for the Venray/Venlo site.
- Analyze current warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement by using the Lean methodology.
- Conduct Kaizen workshops (IKW) and organize Kaizen-weeks (KW) to be planned across severaldepartments//accounts/year.
- Follow-up on the Lean opportunity tracker and work closely together with the 3 Business Unit OPEX Leads to ensure sufficient CI projects are completed across the year (lean pipeline) to meet the aligned targets.
- Provide dedicated Lean Green Belt training and certification support across all buildings.
- Collaborate with warehouse management and staff to gather data and insights on operational performance.
- Support and execute with Gemba Walks on the shopfloor.
- Support the OpEx manager regarding KPI reporting for several site and corporate stakeholders.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- HBO+/WO working and thinking level.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement roles, preferably in warehouse logistics or supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge and experience with LEAN methodology is a pre-requisite.
- Lean Green Belt certification is a must-have, Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
