Review as-built plans to determine existing construction types, design loads, and code compliance issues. Perform code analysis for new structures including determining required design loads and recommending construction types. Calculate structural design loads including dead, live, wind and seismic loading Use 2D drafting software to create construction documents. Use of company standard details and formats will be heavily utilized. Use 3D drafting software (REVIT) to model new construction Use preformatted template calculations to compute repetitive analysis of new and existing structures. Use general finite element analysis software such as RAM Structural and ETABS to perform unique analyses of new structures. Coordinate internally with local design team to ensure compatibility with other disciplines for construction documents. Coordinate externally with other consultants, clients, and review boards to ensure project alignment with overall goals. Work will be guided by senior-level engineers to provide feedback and answer questions. Provide oversight and share knowledge with junior level engineers to teach previous roles and responsibilities.
