Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide planning, consulting, design, and construction services for various municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients over various fields including water, wastewater, and water resources.
- Prepare detailed structural design drawings and construction specifications.
- Coordinate structural project work with architectural, civil, process, mechanical, and electrical engineering staff.
- Conduct condition assessments for existing buildings and structures.
- Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Utilize bespoke structural analysis software for structural designs while applying a comprehensive understanding of structural engineering, principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their applications.
- Work with senior SMEs in Atlanta and offices throughout the United States.
Here's what you'll need
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience as a structural engineer – preferably in the Water/Wastewater/Water Resources field
- Licensed Profession Engineer (PE) in Georgia with the ability to obtain licensing in other states across the US
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 350, and AISC
- Knowledge of principles and practices of wind and seismic design, including the ability to apply required provisions of the building code
- Experience working in a multi-discipline project team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Desire to pursue a Structural Engineer (SE) license in Georgia
- Experience with STAAD Pro, TEDDS, RAM, Autodesk Revit, MicroStation, Mathcad, Bluebeam and/or BIM skillsets
