IT BIA Risk Analyst

The IT BCM Risk Analyst is responsible for the administration of the creation, completion and management signoff of IT Business Continuity Management and more general risk documents using established policies and procedures. You will also work on the ongoing cycle of periodic refresh and signoff of existing documents ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.

Your key responsibilities

As an Associate in the ITRM BCM team,

  • Undertake new BIA’s working with stakeholders to get them completed in the expected timescale and in compliance with policy and procedures
  • Complete a regular cycle of “business as usual” tasks of periodic refreshes of BIA’s
  • Work with already established contacts within the IT services organization and wider firm to enable completion of BIA’s to established standards.
  • Field queries and questions related to the completion of BIA’s and subsequent actions.
  • Assist with education and awareness sessions and/or individual training to enable stakeholders to effectively complete BIA’s
  • Liaise with team members globally to ensure that the team operates seamlessly across locations and time zones.
  • Demonstrated skills in efficiently implementing agreed roadmaps and managing a work stream
  • Able to work independently but with some supervision as required

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Understanding and exposure to risk management/BCM, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Flexibility to balance multiple work streams and adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
  • Ability to team well with others and to understand and integrate cultural differences and work with cross cultural teams across the globe
  • Ability to appropriately balance EY’s needs with business impact and benefit
  • Ability to understand and follow established policies and procedures
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment following a methodical and detailed approach
  • You will be expected to act within set guidelines and policies, with regular contact and oversight from the manager. However, you will also be expected to have the ability to make initial decisions independently.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills and ability to communicate and gain support for initiatives
  • Strong English language skills; excellent writing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills are required

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: information technology, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Risk Management, or similar roles.
  • An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • An operational understanding of ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 31000
  • One or more of the following or equivalent certifications: BCI Certified (Business continuity Institute- AMBCI. MBCI), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Processional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Familiarity with local and regional regulatory requirements and how they impact IT policies
  • Good appreciation of the business benefits of internal control and good risk management
  • Working knowledge of cloud fundamentals (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting and data visualization tools, specifically PowerBI
  • Experience with RSA Archer
