The KYC Office is a centralized advisory team responsible for setting enterprise-wide KYC/CDD requirements and governance framework as well as providing guidance and support to PNC Lines of Business, Support Areas, Risk Areas, and Technology as it relates to strategy and execution of the Enterprise Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Policy.Your hours will be approximately from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday with occasional overtime required.There will be a variety of core responsibilities for which you will be responsible that focus on governance, oversight, and development of solutions for CDD-related risks and issues. The primary scope of your responsibilities will include:• Investigations of assigned cases utilizing internal bank systems, open source intelligence, and interviews of bank personnel. By maintaining strong quality controls you will ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently during all investigations.
• You will be responsible for providing AML subject matter expertise to service partners and examiners as necessary
• Perform validation as needed for application upgrades, enhancements, and defect resolution
• Assist Management with preparation and execution of the monthly Customer Due Diligence Governance Working Group
• Assist Management with project planning through development, refinement, and execution of items that reflect the Customer Due Diligence Program’s focus on continuous improvement.
• When applicable, assist Management during Internal Audit engagements and Regulatory Exams through collection of supporting documents, provision of responses to questions, and walkthroughs of process.
• Upon request assist Management with maintaining and updating policies and procedures.
• As necessary, assist Management with developing, monitoring, or monitoring metrics that include, but may not be limited to Key Risk Measurements (KRM), case aging, LOB metrics, or general CDD Program Metrics
• Upon request of management, provide support for ancillary projects and bank/department initiatives.In your role, you will continuously draw upon your knowledge of the financial services industry, compliance regulations, research and monitoring techniques and your ability to apply them to your assigned area of responsibility. Possessing strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to deal with ambiguity and to work independently will be required on a day-to-day basis.Preferred Experience:
5+ years of Risk Management experience, preferably within BSA/AML
Previous experience with Enhanced Due Diligence/KYCThis position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely at manager's discretion.Job Description
  • Develops plans and assists in the overall implementation of enterprise wide and business unit Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Programs to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices. Assists in the execution and oversight of activities to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, USA PATRIOT ACT and Sanctions Program requirements. Developing ability to constructively challenge conclusions/status quo.
  • Update AML and Sanctions policies and procedures as needed. Ensure that Compliance Manuals, Front Office Manuals, policies and procedures accurately reflect current laws, rules, other regulatory requirements and management intent. Independently challenges analyses, reviews and recommendations.
  • Identify and define the AML and Sanctions objectives for assigned line(s) of business, products/services and applicable regulations. Communicate and socialize those objectives (from a leadership position) to the business. Coordinate AML and Sanctions compliance monitoring and oversee preparation of compliance reports. May serve as a resource regarding AML and Sanctions compliance impact on overall business activities, product development and customer activities.
  • Prepares and edits AML and Sanctions compliance reports and/or customer risk profiles. Identifies issues, recommends corrective action plans and escalates through proper governance channels as needed. Analyzes assessments of AML and Sanctions risk and internal controls. Researches AML and Sanctions regulatory developments. Assists, as appropriate, in updating or implementing new/enhanced processes in order to ensure timely and effective compliance with new AML and Sanctions regulatory requirements.
  • Supports key business initiatives by identifying AML and Sanctions Compliance risks and providing resolutions to manage these risks. Serves as a resource regarding AML and Sanctions compliance impact on such matters on overall business activities, product development and customer activities.
