This role requires the successful candidate to:

  • On-time review of interface deliverables issued by the Contractors using the project’s EDMS.
  • Assure all project interfaces are identified and appropriately managed in a living Interface Register, populated and maintained by the Contractors.
  • Assure all project interface requirements are tracked and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
  • Arrange, chair and minute regular interface progress meetings with the Contractor and Client.
  • Participate in working groups aimed at providing solutions to challenges and issues that impact the management of project interfaces. Managing the interface resolution process to ensure that all interface conflicts are addressed and resolved.
  • Perform impact analyses for interface requirements affected by designs changes and advising to the impact of the changes to Jacobs management.
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues and concerns of delays promptly and effectively.
  • Develop relationships with key personnel both internal (e.g. Discipline Leads) and external (e.g. Contractor Interface Managers) responsible for the successful delivery of the project.
  • Visit work sites, observe situations affecting project interfaces and prepare reports of observations and findings.
  • Monitor, and support where necessary, Systems Integration Testing to ensure all interfaces requirements are fully and successfully validated for revenue operation
Here's what you'll need

As a key member of the project team, you will be expected to:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and be registered with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia or equivalent international institution.
  • Possess minimum 15 years’ experience on rail projects
  • Have knowledge of design and construction management aspects of Railway Projects
  • Have held senior site-based positions installing and testing railway system assets on urban transit projects;
  • A team player and be flexible to the needs of the project;
  • Have previous consultancy and construction experience
