Assemble and install equipment at other Tesla locations (30-40% travel), and manage onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
Collaborate with project teams, including Controls Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Assemblers, Project Managers, and others; Build positive relationships with coworkers and peers
Identify and mitigate potential problems (i.e. anticipate problems before they occur); troubleshoot and debug industrial automated equipment and ensure equipment is in proper working condition after troubleshooting
Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and components
Complete service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments, and calibrations, and assist in automation system startups
Provide status updates to management
Comply with company safety procedures and Tesla policies
What You’ll Bring
5+ years experience building automated equipment preferred; must provide own basic set of hand tools
Ability to read/understand mechanical drawings and schematics
High precision and close tolerance proficiency, as well as strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
