About the Role
Qualified candidates for this role must have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume case management role. Top candidates will articulate how their critical thinking skills have allowed them to consistently navigate complex people and employment issues.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Managing the relationship with the Union in Chile (in partnership with the HR Business Partner and ER Director),
- Coordinating and advising the HR teams on matters related to employees' representation, in compliance with local social legal regulations,
- Liaising with the relevant stakeholders (HR, Legal, Operations, Communications) to prepare and execute various projects (coordination, risk management, and alignment) and deploy programs and policies
- Managing collective consultation processes in the region, including towards the relevant public authorities,
- Ensuring Uber’s compliance with social relations regulations in LatAm countries, mainly Chile, Mexico, and Argentina
- Manage ELR cases within our global process involving interpersonal conflict and/or allegations of misconduct (e.g., harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation, etc)
- Improve the bandwidth of ELR Director and Latam to support the business in other key areas (climate surveys, data trends analysis and action planning, and manager training)
- Analyze context, facts, and documentation gathered within ELR’s case management process to develop balanced recommended actions that address any misconduct and restore damaged relationships;
- Maintain confidential records within a shared case management tool; leverage the case management tool to identify themes affecting employee groups or subgroups and develop a measured response related to trends
- Support leaders in Latam in the roll-out of reorganizations and/or policy changes in Latam.
- Actively support or lead ELR priority projects
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of solid experience with Collective Bargaining negotiation process, Works Councils, and workplace investigation process (case management)
- Significant case management (workplace investigations) capabilities paired with a thorough understanding of HR principles, concepts, policies, and standards
- Labor employment knowledge, mainly for Chile, Mexico and Argentina
- Industrial Relations background/ experience with Collective Agreement negotiation process
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations, enabling ELR ( employee and labor relations) to operate more independently from Employment Legal ;
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills; must be an impactful and persuasive communicator at all levels of the organization
