Process Engineer (Injection Moulding)located in
Reporting to theEngineering Managertherole is responsible to plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Experience in Injection Moulding machine and Injection Moulding Process, Mould setup, trouble shooting and Process Control.
Exposure in Mold testing, Optimize and establish nominal processing Parameters to achieve quality and cost effective products
Knowledge in Engineering plastics materials, Preparation for Processing and ensure parameters are optimized for any material changes.
Monitor and ensure the cycle time, down time to meet target output, efficiency, Yield and less rejection
Analyze and assist sub molders to reduce unwanted stoppages to achieve yield, efficiency and lessrejection
Evaluate tool performance and propose action to improve productivity and propose for tool repair to reduce reworks and achieve output
Evaluate and oversee new process, Equipment’s and tool in production at supplier site and train the key persons if required.
Assist sub molder to Trouble shoot process related issues and effective problem solving on daily issues.
Establish robust process control and process parameters. Review processing methods and suggest improving productivity
Implement safe production environment at supplier site to improve productivity
Participate in activities to ensure FDA parameters to improve cycle time, reduce rejection and improve yield.
Review daily production output, daily delivery requirements with planners /purchaser to achieve on time delivery.
Participate in daily and routine meetings, provide necessary data related to production outputs and down time and quality related issues.
Perform any jobs assigned by higher management and Prepare reports upon request.
Willing to travel to few supplier sites to monitor production activities
Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training in Injection Moulding Process.
Typically requires 3 years of experience in Injection Moulding
Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, and schematics.
May require various PCB operations. Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Mechanical & Electrical Tools: taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools.
