The Senior Legal Counsel’s responsibilities will include, without limitation, the following:
EMEA / International counsel
- Strategic partner for the provision of legal services across the EMEA region with an in-depth understanding of NICE’s different business segments and products / solutions.
- Act as a trusted and valued advisor to team members across the EMEA region, with significant experience in local laws, local culture, and ways of doing business in these markets.
- Opportunity to work on APAC legal matters.
- Partner with other members of the global Legal team to share best practices and work on global initiatives and other projects.
Commercial
- Understand the business priorities and products / solutions and be central to business discussions.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate customer and partner agreements across all areas of the company’s business, with an understanding of the different products / solutions and company requirements. This will include the drafting and negotiation of direct agreements with corporate and government customers, and partner agreements. Experience with different partner / channel models and programs in the technology sector is preferred.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate other commercial agreements (e.g., subcontractors, vendors, ).
- Develop strong working partnerships with other key stakeholders across the business (e.g., sales, solutions, partners, finance, business operations, etc.).
- Deliver training to enhance sales enablement.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Implement the commercial contract approval matrix in the EMEA region.
- Work with the General Counsel, International and Director, Compliance to ensure compliance (including enforcement of the Code of Ethics, global anti-bribery and corruption laws, global export laws and trade sanctions, etc.).
- Advising on data privacy, information security and cyber-security laws in EMEA.
Corporate
- Assist with corporate work related to legal entities in EMEA.
- Support Corporate Legal, Finance and Tax departments in the execution and submission of required legal corporate documents for compliance purposes.
Have you got what it takes?
- Proven success within leading multinational technology companies in a similar role, including substantial experience in cloud services, software, and services.
- Commercial legal business partner with a proven track record of results with extensive experience negotiating customer and partner transactions in the technology sector across a variety of markets in the EMEA region (including US GAAP revenue recognition experience).
- Substantial experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Solid IP and data privacy experience.

- Ability to anticipate legal issues or
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years’ PQE, with directly relevant experience gained from working in leading law firms and multinational technology companies.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) / Master of Laws (LLM) from an internationally recognized university.
