Our Building Surveying services are client / project specific and as a truly multidisciplinary consultancy, you will work alongside experts in many different specialist areas.
Some key responsibilities
- Inspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites - to involve measured surveys, defect diagnosis and associated investigations
- Prepare reports, specifications and drawings for the repair, refurbishment, demolition, and re-building of all types of buildings
- To tender projects and provide post tender analysis – playing an active part in promoting the company’s services to secure projects and enable continued growth
Here’s what you’ll need
- MRICS accreditation and private practice or consultancy background
- Particular focus or interest in dilapidations and TDD work
- Ability to work independently as a project lead with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services
- In depth knowledge and relevant application of relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations / planning and the Building Safety Act
- Project Management experience - managing projects and / or multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of recruiting and managing more junior staff and mentoring APC progression
- Client facing skills, a commercial mindset, strong report writing ability
- Good knowledge of local commercial markets
