Configuration Manager PDM Operations
Job Summary
- This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Data Management Operations within Supply Chain Planning.
- This role is responsible for leading a broad range of complex supply chain processes for a large global business unit. The role defines/improves current business processes by leading cross-functional regional and global business unit Product Marketing, Services, Product Data Management and identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes. The role manages special projects and communicates requirements to large global business/Supply Chain teams.
- This role works closely with cross-functional teams and leaders in HP's PS Global Business Units (GBU) and Category Operations, Supply Chain PLM COE, Supply Chain Planning leaders, and other to ensure the PDM Operations Configuration Management meets the needs of the business and receives the necessary support.
Responsibilities
- Work with system leader/marketing manager to determine platform setup in Pulsar
- Review and provide feedback on the Product Requirement List
- Maintain Product Requirement Lists (PRL) and DCR management (change request)
- Create overall schedule, update in Pulsar, weekly maintenance
- Expedite personal approval, disapproval, or discussion of time-critical change requests as needed for BOM structures and configuration rules
- Review BOM Structures and create Configuration Rules
- Responsible for the BOM structure strategy and configuration rules strategy
- Program management for BOMs/other tasks - Interface between CM & FC, marketing, regions, CIS, EDM
- Translates functional plans into operations processes and guides execution.
- Collaborates with GBU stakeholders to define requirements and architect solutions that meet business goals and technical constraints.
- Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.
