As a DevOps Engineer, you will manage and maintain Linux-based systems and KVM hypervisors in a large-scale cloud infrastructure. Optimize system performance, conduct regular monitoring, and implement proactive troubleshooting measures. Configure and manage virtual networking, storage solutions, and security measures in a virtualized environment.Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

In addition to a high level of commitment and reliability, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you also bring the folllowing:

• Proficient in various Linux distributions (e.g., Gardenlinux, CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
• Strong understanding of file systems, kernel tuning, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in system monitoring and troubleshooting using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Zsh).
• Knowledge of other scripting languages such as Python, golang for automation tasks.
• understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with libvirt for managing KVM environments.
• Familiarity with virsh command-line tool and libvirt XML configuration.
• Experience with network configuration and management in Linux environments.
• Understanding of different storage types (local, NAS, SAN) and storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS).
• Experience with storage management tools like LVM, Ceph, and ZFS.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing virtual networking in KVM, including bridged networking, NAT, and VLANs.
• Experience with Open vSwitch or similar virtual switch technologies.
• Skills in tuning and optimizing both the host and guest systems for optimal performance.
• Knowledge of benchmarking tools and techniques to measure and improve performance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in virtualized environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
