The role of the IT server Infrastructure engineer group will help:
Infrastructure consists of VMware Horizon, Azure virtual desktop, and VMWare Hypervisor.
Install, configure, tune, maintain, and monitor Windows 10,11, Deployment on perm and cloud Environment.
Provide operational support of all Windows system administration within the End-user computing (EUC) space including Windows Server and Windows Desktop Operating systems.
Use monitoring tools (such as Perfmon, SCOM, and vRops) to oversee Virtual desktop Systems operating within a defined support operations area. Engage with Help desk to troubleshoot and resolve large scale environmental issues.
Deploy and maintain secure desktop images in the VMware virtual desktop Infrastructure in accordance with policies and industry standards. Engineers will be supporting Microsoft Windows Server OS, such as DHCP, DNS, AD, and Windows Failover Clustering services. They should be familiar with Microsoft Azure virtual desktop & windows 365 Cloud PC and VMware hypervisor.
Good working knowledge of adjacent VMware products (VCF, vROPs, vRA, vSAN, NSX etc
Recommend changes to policies and establish immediate procedures, ensure that service is delivered on time and within budget by maintaining communication with stakeholders and management.
Coordinate and communicate with other area managers to leverage resources and discuss solutions.
Analyze, log, track, and resolve complex issues pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printers, Windows servers, and applications.
Coordinate hardware and software installations, as well as upgrades, Isolate and diagnose common Wintel system problems, and document system events to ensure continuous functioning.
Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and configuration of Wintel (Windows / VMware) and services.
Prepare for and prescribe approaches to possible downstream implications.
This role requires the selected person to work in shifts in a 24X7 production environment
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
