Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills, experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements
Proficiency in 3D CAD, creating 2D drawings and practical application of GD&T
Proficiency in tolerance analyses with statistical techniques
Experience working in technical project groups in a professional environment
Practical experience working with external manufacturing vendors (DFM/DFA, FAI/CPK dimensional reports)
Thorough knowledge of engineering materials, understanding of property tradeoffs and interpreting FEA results
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including emails, slide presentations and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation
Detail orientated and capable of handling multiple assignments at once
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
Experience designing consumer electronics with knowledge across most of these disciplines: wearables, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, antennas, batteries, thermals, mechanisms, comfort and ergonomics
Fluent in Unigraphics NX including surfacing, statistical software (JMP), MacOS
Experience working through full product cycle including mass production and collaborating with Asian manufacturing facilities
