1+ years of hands-on, consumer electronics product design experience
Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package, NX preferred)
Proficiency in creating 2D drawings and tolerance analyses with statistical techniques
Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills, experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements
Foundational knowledge of engineering materials, with understanding of property tradeoffs and FEA result interpretation
Practical experience working with external manufacturing vendors (DFM/DFA, FAI/CPK dimensional reports)
Experience working in technical project groups in a professional environment
Detail oriented and capable of handling multiple assignments at once
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams
Creative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
3+ years of hands-on, consumer electronics product design experience
Fluent in Unigraphics NX including surfacing tools, statistical software (JMP), MacOS
Proficiency with practical application of GD&T techniques
Experience with product development cycle from concept development to production bring-up
Consumer electronics knowledge in a majority of these disciplines: industrial design, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, silicon, antennas, batteries, thermals, mechanisms
Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing facilities, specifically in high-volume mass production
Experience designing wearable consumer electronics with considerations for fit, comfort, & ergonomics
