Job responsibilities
- Leads and coaches teams to adopt and implement agile methodologies, and promote open communication and engagement among team members ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals
- Uses advanced communication, facilitation, and presentation skills to manage and influence stakeholders while communicating organizational impediments to leadership
- Develops and implements short to mid-term operational and transformation plans, prioritize tasks and manage resources to achieve product goals in a timely and efficient manner through the utilization of metrics and evidence-based decisions
- Identifies trends and generates original ideas to contribute to the development of new policies and best practices within the discipline
- Leads the orchestration of key business processes improvements; work across several product areas to ensure consistency in the identification and execution of cross functional operational excellence initiatives
- Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization
- Ensures the advancement of lean roadmaps which illustrate where improvements exist within the product lines to enhance operational and delivery performance
- Serves as a partner, facilitator, and trainer on operational excellence topics (solutions and tools) and demonstrate how they are utilized to improve outcomes
- Helps refine and champion the operational excellence intake model inclusive of opportunity assessments, Kaizen events, and other consultive approaches for engaging business partners
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
- Possess advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support for teams
- Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and scaling frameworks, monitoring agility metrics; with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization, effectively guiding group discussions and decision-making processes within the domain context
- Experience with lean six sigma, opportunity assessments, value stream identification, and organizational change management
- Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or verifiable equivalent experience
- Experience with the Agile Guide, Scrum Master or RTE role in large frameworks program (SAFe, LeSS, etc.) and 3 or more years’ experience in at least 1 framework
- Skilled with using innovation competencies such as maker-culture, lean-startup, and design-thinking
- PMP certification from the Project Management Institute or verifiable equivalent experience
- Demonstrative skills with value stream identification, process mapping, story mapping, transformation roadmap development, and building operating models
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training on Agile coaching (formal coaching certifications preferred).
- Industrial engineering experience is a major plus
- Product Owner Certification such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM or PSPO or verifiable equivalent experience
- Awareness or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Mobbing, working with automation utilities, etc.
