Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards, to ensure data integrity and security across the organization.
  • Partner with the business and GIS to understand business processes and implement appropriate data classification and handling policies and procedures
  • Maintain policies and standards to ensure the proper access, usage, storage, and sharing of data across the organization.
  • Maintain program roadmaps, KPIs, and other metrics to measure and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with information technology and business functions to develop and implement data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure to support data governance initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to increase data governance awareness and understanding across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Program Management, Risk Management, Information Management or similar degree from a recognized university. Minimum 4-6 years’ relevant experience in data governance, technical program or data management or a related field, preferably in Applied business sector.
  • Experience working on company-wide data initiatives or management initiatives at Applied Materials with cross functional teams, capable of handling projects with notable risk and complexity.
  • Experience in implementing data governance tools, technologies, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships, including experience supporting stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and anticipate potential objections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, flexibility, and pragmatism.
  • Strong presentation, data visualization, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Creative problem solver who is detail oriented with sound business judgment.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and able to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience within a Legal team, including managing programs related to Data Governance, Data Management, and other legal issues.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Additional language skills.
