Job Description

Product Industrialization Engineer II will lead process development of new products, ensuring that manufacturing processes meet product and project requirements, as well as identifying and recommending solutions for complex technical issues. Product Industrialization (PI) activities include process technology development, pilot line development, prototyping, manufacturing transfers from site to site and contributing to technical team meetings regarding these topics.

In this role, you are responsible for:

- Initiating, leading, and executing on product industrialization activities including equipment selection, process development, process characterization and process validation, in support of new product development as well as design changes

- Designing for manufacturing, equipment, and labor capacity planning

- Driving key performance indicators such as Cost of Goods, Yield, Output and Quality throughout projects and into commercialization

- Manufacturing input focusing on Design for Manufacturability, Reliability, Serviceability

- Providing in-depth knowledge for problem solving linked to Manufacturing processes and equipment

- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Engineering, or closely related field

- 3+ years of experience in product/process development in the medical device industry. Experience with catheters, or delivery systems is highly preferred

- Proficiency with FDA QSR/cGMP and ISO13485 requirements to maintain commitment to environmental and quality regulations and knowledge of process characterization and process validation utilizing Statistical tools, DOE, DFSS etc.

- Successful record of accomplishment executing complex manufacturing or new product development projects / programs / improvement opportunities (timelines, quality, capacity, capability, cost, productivity some key metrics)
