The Construction Manager works directly with the Resident Engineers, Utilities, JOC Coordinators and other construction staff in planning and allocating Field Inspectors and/or other construction inspection staff for projects executed under the CIP (Capital Improvement Program) and JOC (Job Order Contracting Program). Completes needs analysis for various projects to plan and allocate appropriate resources for project completion. Works closely with the Manager of Construction and the Resident Engineer offices, Chief of Agreements & Utilities, and JOC Coordinators in developing project objectives/plans, setting performance requirements, implementing project controls, and selecting project participants. Develops and administers plans and policies for training and managing inspection staff to include Field Inspectors and/or other MARTA construction personnel. Prepares construction management annual budgets and monitors the monthly construction management costs/project progress.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related field. Ideally, you'll also have Minimum of five (5) years of field experience and construction management/administration on construction projects. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Experience can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
