About the Role
The Director, M&A People, is a critical role for a seasoned, strategic thinker who can seamlessly integrate business, technology, and people strategies to shape and implement an effective M&A approach. This role requires both strategic vision and a hands-on approach to ensure successful outcomes for the business and stakeholders across complex projects. As the driving force for M&A People initiatives, you’ll foster alignment across teams and motivate others to achieve results on high-stakes timelines. Additionally, you will lead and manage a small, highly skilled team dedicated to M&A People initiatives, providing mentorship and strategic direction to ensure seamless execution.
What You’ll Do
Shape M&A People Strategy: Collaborate closely with corporate development and business leaders to evaluate early-stage deals and develop a people strategy that safeguards deal value and supports business objectives.
Lead Integration Strategy: Craft and execute people integration plans that align with overarching business and technology integration strategies, ensuring smooth transitions for acquired talent.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Build, sustain, and influence relationships with senior business leaders, corporate development, and HR stakeholders, mobilizing cross-functional teams to address key people-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Strategic Roadmap Development: Develop and oversee a comprehensive M&A People strategic roadmap to support long-term goals in alignment with business growth and transformation.
Enhance Engagement Model: Continuously evaluate and enhance the M&A People engagement model to ensure collaboration and accountability among various HR teams, such as HR Business Partners, People Partners, and People Operations.
Due Diligence Leadership: Co-lead due diligence efforts, representing the company in discussions with target companies to assess cultural and operational alignment, identify integration challenges, and shape strategic recommendations.
Integration Execution: Lead cross-functional teams in addressing complex integration areas, such as employee leveling, organizational design, onboarding, total rewards, data migration, and systems harmonization to achieve a cohesive organizational fit.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$225,000 per year - USD$250,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$225,000 per year - USD$250,000 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
